AGS One was approached by a retirement housing provider in Kettering, Northamptonshire to resolve a persistent bed bug issue affecting one flat within a multi-occupancy scheme.
Background
In environments of this nature, bed bugs can spread rapidly between units. Initial reports raised concern that the infestation was either resistant to treatment or originating from another, unidentified source within the building.
The Work
AGS One deployed its Canine Detection Unit to carry out a full site-wide assessment. Working closely with the estate manager, the Canine Unit was granted access to all residential units, enabling a rapid and non-invasive inspection.
Once active infestations were identified, AGS One implemented a targeted treatment programme using a combination of controlled heat and specialist insecticidal spray treatments, ensuring all affected areas were addressed.
Result
- All active bed bug infestations were accurately identified and treated
- A further three rooms were found to be affected, including the primary source of the infestation
- Targeted treatment prevented further spread across the building
- Minimal disruption to residents and staff
- Rapid, effective eradication across the entire site
